Shackleton was founded by Jon, Rob and Tony out of a desire to combine our property expertise with our passion for retail. The result is a truly unique advisory on retail and restaurant property.


Hannah White joined the team in 2013 as

Associate Director, bringing her specialist knowledge

of womenswear to our skillset.


In September 2014 Sam Moyse joined as a graduate surveyor to further bolster the team and enhance our social media profile and online marketing presence.

For retailers Shackleton advises on UK and International store strategy and acquisitions from one-off boutiques to extensive roll-outs. Our first step is taking time to understand the DNA of the brand, the first and most important part of the journey.

For landlords, we advise on tenant mix strategy and lettings. Our clients range from private individuals to some of the UK’s largest landholding PLC’s. We build values through making exciting places to shop.

The directors of Shackleton have advised Shaftesbury Plc on their portfolio for over 15 years. We are very proud to have been an integral part in the creation and development of some of their key estates across the West End. Projects have included Seven Dials, Carnaby, Opera Quarter, Coliseum Block, Berwick Street and Brewer Street. All have different identities, and formation of tenant mix strategies and targeting brands from across the globe is an essential part of ensuring their success and unique direction.



We are advising Ballymore Group on The Goodsyard referred to above, as joint venture partners with Hammerson Plc.



The growth in student housing accommodation development has been unprecedented in London. Shackleton advise Generation Estates, one of the principal players in this market. Our role is to target suitable retailers to support these mixed use developments. We have already advised on projects in Spitalfields, Hammersmith and Whitechapel.



The directors have advised on a number of projects for Rowan Asset Management over the last several years. The most recent of which is a mixed use development in Aldwych which includes the construction of a new luxury restaurant, that we have let to Roka.  The second phase is being worked on for delivery in 2015


Shackleton advise on Prupim’s Gees Court holding. Located off Oxford Street this is a principal pedestrian route through to St Christophers Place and Marylebone.


We have advised Lothbury as individuals for many years, covering ownerships across London including Covent Garden, Soho and St James.  We are currently working on a mixed use development in Dean Street, Soho.

The Deerbrook Group

Shackleton were appointed in 2013 to advise Deerbrook on a new mixed use development in Midtown with as much as 20,000sqft of retail space.


We have been advising Grosvenor, London’s largest retail landlord, on their South Molton Street holdings since summer 2016






Tony Moore and Rob Fay have advised Hammerson Plc on their entire London retail holdings since 2005. This includes the strategy advice and letting of their Spitalfields Market redevelopment, Bishops Square. The resultant tenant mix strategy to focus on innovative, often start-up shops and restaurants became a benchmark for their future mixed use London developments. Hammerson sold Bishops Square to JP Morgan AM in 2011. As well at the redevelopment of the former Stock Exchange on Old Broad Street intentionally avoiding the same old City tenants like Lewins and Boots, and successfully attracting exciting new names that will complement the stunning office development above. We are proud to say that 100% of the tenants had never traded in the City before. We are currently advising Hammerson on the redevelopment of The Goodsyard in Shoreditch which will create an entirely new retail destination for London of over 200,000sqft.



Global Holdings




We were appointed in 2012 to advise UBS Global Asset Management on various London holdings, including building in Midtown where we advised a fitness related theme and subsequently doubled rents

Derwent London

We have been appointed to advise on two forthcoming developments on behalf of Derwent London.  A mixed use development in Fitzrovia consisting of offices, restaurant and retail space and a stunning new office block in Paddington Basin with retail and restaurant space at ground level.

U + I

U+I are known for their creativity and award winning residential developments.  Shackleton have been instructed to advise on a 19 acre site in Greenwich Peninsula which will include a substantial amount of retail, restaurant and leisure space.

Redchurch Property

Shackleton advise Redchurch Property on their lettings and development, most recently advising on conversion of gallery space to three retail stores and then securing Timothy Everest, Versace and The Modern Society as Tenants within the new retail units.

Pollen Estate

We are very proud to be appointed by the Pollen Estate to advise on the fascinating Savile Row portfolio.  With an international reputation for bespoke tailoring, our advice has been carefully tuned to demonstrate how Savile Row can evolve as a retail destination, whilst sensitively maintaining its existing, special qualities.

Norges Bank

Shackelton have been appointed by Norge Bank to advise of a substantial section of Savile Row. We have been providing strategic and professional advise in order to take the block forward and enhance their investment.


Shackleton advise on Consulco’s Bermondsey Street retail holdings on both their letting and investment transactions.


Sellar Design & Development

We have been instructed to advise Sellar Design & Development on various properties across London in particular Southbank where they have significant holdings.

Market Tech

We have been working with Market Tech since January 2017, advising on their retail and restaurant holdings across Camden High Street, Camden, Stables and Lock Markets, and providing development advice on their new 500,000 sq ft development at Hawley Wharf.
